Elevating Devices, Amusement Devices, and Ski Lifts

The Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) is committed to enhancing public safety through transparent, inclusive, and collaborative engagement. This page provides information on how the public, industry stakeholders, and regulated parties can participate in shaping the safety and regulatory oversight of elevating devices (e.g., elevators, escalators, moving walkways), amusement devices (e.g., roller coasters, inflatable rides), and ski lifts across Ontario. We invite the public, industry professionals, stakeholders, and safety advocates to participate in ongoing consultations and engagement opportunities. Your input helps shape policies, standards, and regulatory practices that prioritize safety, innovation, and accessibility.

Through this page, you can:

  • Learn about current and upcoming consultations
  • Provide feedback on regulatory proposals
  • Review summaries of recent consultations
  • Stay informed about safety initiatives, reports, and industry updates
